The process flow of injection molding accessories mainly includes the following steps:
Preparation stage:
Material selection: According to the product design requirements, select suitable plastic materials, such as polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), polystyrene (PS) or ABS, etc.
Material drying: Some plastic materials need to be dried before processing to remove moisture and prevent bubbles or defects during the molding process.
Mold preparation: According to the product design, the corresponding mold is made, usually made of metal (such as steel or aluminum) to ensure high precision and durability.
Mold preheating: In some cases, the mold needs to be preheated to ensure the fluidity and molding effect of the plastic material.
Injection molding process:
Plastic melting: The plastic particles are fed into the heating barrel and heated to a molten state by the heater. The heating temperature is usually between 200-300°C.
Screw extrusion: The screw rotates in the heating barrel, pushing the molten plastic to the injection position while mixing it evenly.
Injection phase: The screw moves forward and injects the molten plastic into the mold cavity at high speed through the nozzle. The injection speed and pressure are adjusted according to product requirements.
Pressure holding phase: After injection, the screw continues to apply pressure to replenish the material reduced by cooling shrinkage to ensure accurate product size.
Cooling phase: The plastic cools and solidifies in the mold to form a product. The cooling time is adjusted according to the product thickness and material properties, usually ranging from a few seconds to a few minutes.
Demolding phase: After cooling, the molded product is ejected from the mold by the ejector rod or ejector plate.
Post-processing:
Finishing: Remove burrs and excess material from the edge of the product.
Surface treatment: Surface treatment such as polishing, spraying, etc. is performed according to requirements.
Through the above steps, plastic accessories that meet the design requirements can be produced.
